Maintenance Technician – Restaurant Operations
Store Repairs and Troubleshooting
• Diagnose and repair kitchen equipment such as fryers, ovens, tandoors, exhaust systems,refrigeration units, chillers and freezers
• Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and civil repairs at the store level
• Attend urgent breakdowns and restore operations quickly and safely
• Maintain proper records of repairs and parts used
Preventive Maintenance
• Create and follow a planned maintenance calendar for each outlet in conjunction with Operations team
• Carry out routine servicing of major equipment to reduce breakdowns
• Inspect critical systems and flag issues before they become problems
• Ensure HACCP-related equipment checks are completed and documented
Vendor and Contractor Coordination
• Coordinate with approved service vendors, AMC providers and contractors
• Review job quality and ensure work is completed within timelines
• Assist in evaluating quotations for repairs and projects
• Follow up on warranty claims and service agreements
Budgeting and Cost Control
• Prepare basic maintenance budgets and forecasts for stores
• Track repair costs and suggest cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Maintain inventory of essential spares and consumables
Operational Support
• Assist operations teams during equipment setup, relocation or new store openings
• Train store staff on basic equipment handling and care
• Support day-to-day operational needs related to maintenance
